Join us on campus to celebrate our legacy of leadership at the university and to strengthen the bonds between our Alumni and College Brothers in an effort to continue our positive impact on the university, its students, and the community of West Chester.

The Brothers of the Zeta Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, in association with the members of the Zeta Psi Alumni Chapter of the West Chester Alumni Association will host a 55th Anniversary Retreat for the members of both organizations on April 5, 2025 at West Chester University (WCU). Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, the world’s first Black intercollegiate Greek- lettered organization, was founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The organization’s official magazine, “The Sphinx" is America's second oldest Black magazine.

Alpha Phi Alpha prides itself as having a long legacy of leadership. The exhaustive list of notable Alpha men includes Dr. Martin Luther King, Paul Robeson, W.E.B. DuBois, Jesse Owens, and the Honorable Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The Zeta Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on December 19, 1969 at West Chester University in Anderson Hall. The Zeta Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, along with Theta Chi Fraternity, started the Greek-lettered organization system at WCU.

The Zeta Psi Alumni Chapter of the WCU Alumni Association was founded in 2022 with the purpose of promoting the interests of West Chester University in the positive development of its students, aiding the current Zeta Psi Chapter on campus, supporting the West Chester University Alumni Association, and increasing alumni awareness of the University's needs.
